Pizza lovers here’s a ‘pricey’ challenge for you! All this while we actually thought pizza was one of the cheapest ways to enjoy a hearty meal. But, this restaurant in JBR is making us think otherwise! Luigia, an Italian restaurant in JBR dishes out one of the most expensive pizzas in the UAE. The pizza will leave you short of a whopping AED 660 and if you’re wondering what’s so luxurious about it, hold on! ‘The Zarina’ is packed with the best toppings, picked straight from the pizza haven- Italy.
What’s It?
The pizza is generously topped with steamed potatoes and fresh baby spinach. The highlights, however, are the cauliflower puree, king crab and prime caviar.
This is probably the first time you’ll savour cauliflower puree on a pizza! While the description might sound too appetizing, we’re pretty sure it tastes out of the world.
And if you’re guilty to spend AED 660 on strings of cheese and cauliflower, fret not, the restaurant also has other stuff. And thankfully, they’re not as expensive.
Those who prefer to lay low can head straight to the Ala Carte. The menu has an impressive selection of starters, pasta, salads, pizzas and more. The restaurant also serves pizzas made without cheese (fitness freaks, are you listening?). The pizzas are smothered with an in-house tomato sauce and topped with garlic, oregano and basil, before its finally baked to perfection.
Lastly, there’s also a dedicated menu for kids.
What Else?
Finish your meal the old-school way with a dollop of homemade ice cream served with coffee or chocolate sauce. If you’re up for a little more cheese, try Luigia’s chocolate cheesecake. The recipe has been in the family for years and its definitely a sweet way to end a hearty meal.
