Madhya Pradesh brings in happy news for its senior citizens! The Madhya Pradesh state government is all set to launch the Mukhyamantri Teerth Darshan Yojana for January 1, 2023
The Yojna allows senior citizens of the state to undertake different pilgrimages across India. Tourism and Culture Minister Usha Thakur reveals that 10 new trains will run for the pilgrims under this yojana. The people of Madhya Pradesh are applauding this decision of the state government. Read on to find more details about the scheme under which the MP state government is introducing ten new trains for the pilgrims.

Details Of The Trains To Run In Madhya Pradesh For The Mukhyamantri Teerth Darshan Yojana

According to reports, five new trains of Teerth Darshan Yatra will start running on the tracks from September 17, 2022. The date beautifully coincides with the birthday of PM Narendra Modi. During this period, numerous senior citizens from Madhya Pradesh will be taken on different pilgrimages across India. Following this, another five trains will run from November 1, 2022, the Madhya Pradesh Foundation.

Speaking on the same, Minister Usha Thakur states that around 150 trains will start running on the tracks in the upcoming months. This will be a step to facilitate the pilgrimage travel of the seniors in Madhya Pradesh.

A Great Opportunity For Senior Citizens By The Government

Under the Teerth Yatra Scheme, around 5000 senior citizens will be able to go on different pilgrimages across India.
Minister Usha Thakur wants pilgrims to visit the four dhams that are establishments by Adi guru Shankaracharya. Thakur adds that MP Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s aim to start the pilgrimage is to carry forward the culture and the department is making all efforts to live up to the CM’s vision.

Senior Citizens aged 60 and above who no longer pay income tax to the Govt. of Madhya Pradesh can go on these pilgrimages. Residents of MP who don’t belong to the senior citizen category can also undertake the pilgrimages at their own expense. However, anyone who has already taken a Teerth Yatra in the past will not be eligible to travel under the Mukhyamantri Teerth Darshan Yojana.
