Prayagraj is all set to host the upcoming Mahakumbh 2025. It will be grander and humongous and the preparations for the pilgrimage have already begun. Lakhs of devotees from differnt corners of India travel to the festival venue every year to celebrate and worship. The crowd is enormous each year and it takes vast additional efforts to organise everything. The railway administration along with district administration is taking steps in creating plans and projects for the upcoming festival in the year 2025.
A Meeting Was Conducted For Mahakumbh 2025
According to a report by The Times of India, a meeting was held on Thursday. Conducted at the Prayagraj divisional office, both the administration officers from the district and railway participated in the meeting. One of the biggest decisions from the meeting is the planning of constructing an entrance at the Subedarganj railway station. This additional entry point will be built to ease the journey of everyone visiting here. A new entrance from the Kanpur roadside will be a great addition to manage the immense crowd.

The entry at the Subedarganj railway station is from the Rajrupur side at the moment. This entry point is not enough to handle the crowd on most days, and it will be extremely difficult for everyone during Mahakumbh 2025. The new entry from the Kanpur roadside will be a solution to this issue. Not just for railway passengers, this will also help those people travelling to the airport.
Many New Developments Are On The Way!
This meeting on Thursday evening has resulted in the discussion and finalisation of new projects in the city. From entrances to roads, there are many projects coming here soon. The officials talked about broadening the Chheoki railway station in this meeting. The TOI report also states how there were discussions for decorating places near these stations.

Another meeting of Mahakumbh stated that 2 Rail Under Bridges and 15 Rail Overbridges will be built before the year 2025. Different departments will come together for the projects of Mahakumbh.
