The unnamed 48-year-old man reportedly walked at a stretch for more than a week after he had a lover’s quarrel with his wife. He started walking from Como in northern Italy, and reached the small town of Fano on the Adriatic coastline. The police officers spotted the man around 2:00 am for flouting lockdown rules. The man himself was taken aback when he heard that he had already covered over 450km distance. He walked miles to soothe his anger. Across Italy, a curfew is in place between 10 pm and 5 am according to the current lockdown regulations. Subsequently, the police fined him €400 ($485) for breaching the curfew rules.
