You must have seen movies where smugglers easily smuggle drugs from one country to another without getting caught. Well, in reality, that is not the case. You cannot just get away with drugs at the airport. In a recent similar incident, a man was caught at the Dubai International Airport (DXB) with 7.06 kg of marijuana. The officials seized the drugs, which the man had hidden inside well-known cereal brand boxes.

An Asian passenger was caught by the customs authorities at Dubai International Airport (DXB) with 7.06 kg of marijuana. He has stashed the drugs in a bag of a popular cereal brand.
This passenger was arrested immediately at Dubai Airport and taken care of by the General Directorate of Anti-Narcotics. The drugs were seized, but their value has not yet been disclosed.
It was actually difficult to detect narcotics being smuggled inside a cereal box, but since a strange and dark substance was noticed inside these boxes, the steps were taken as per a report.
UAE Authorities Have Always Been A Step Ahead
During an assessment of the bags at the Dubai International Airport, inconsistencies were found that may have pointed to the existence of forbidden goods, according to Khaled Ahmed, senior manager of the Passenger Operations Department at Terminal 1.
Dubai Customs has increased its efforts to make sure that the city and its neighbourhoods are safe from narcotics trafficking.
Criminals keep coming up with new ways to smuggle drugs into the nation, but the UAE authorities have always been a step ahead.
He claimed that drug traffickers use a variety of techniques to conceal their products, such as body packing, concealing them in cosmetics, incorporating them into bags’ sides and bottoms, hiding them in food packages or spice packets, and even hiding them in seasonal fruits. They also hide them in their clothes.
