Massive Fire Breaks Out At Delhi-Dehradun Shatabdi Express; All Passengers Safe

In a very unfortunate incident today, a coach of the Dehradun-New Delhi Shatabdi Express caught fire. The incident happen when the train was running in between Raiwala and Kansrao railway station in Uttarakhand. The train left in the morning for Dehradun. Thankfully, the fire was soon called off and all passengers came out safe.

The Fire Broke Out At The C-5 Coach

The fire broke out at the C-5 coach, which is the eighth coach from the train engine. The train guard informed that no passenger incurred any injury. A total of 35 passengers in the coach were evacuated and adjusted in other coaches. The affected coach was then detached from the train.

Passengers Were Evacuated & Adjusted In Other Coaches

After some time, the departed for its onward journey. The train’s bogie caught fire near Kasro railway station after it departed from Delhi. While the cause of the fire is still unknown, we are waiting for an official statement from the railways. Indian Railways Gets New Glass-Domed Coaches With Rotatable Seats For Nature-Loving Travellers.
