A traffic and licensing centre in Fujairah has taken the highest score in this year’s UAE government service rankings. On Wednesday, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, approved the results of the sixth edition of the UAE Government’s Global Star Rating System for Services.
Who Got Seven Stars?
The Traffic and Licensing Service Centre in Fujairah, which comes under the Ministry of Interior, earned seven stars, the top classification in this round. The assessment covered 179 service channels across 27 federal entities.
In a post on X, Sheikh Mohammed congratulated Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and the ministry’s team.
The Six-Star And Five-Star Performers
Two channels received six stars. One is the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs in Fujairah. The other is the Customer Happiness Centre in Ras Al Khaimah. Both come under the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security.
A call centre run by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation picked up five stars.
Where Did Services Improve?
The results showed a 13 per cent improvement in call centre performance, 5 per cent in service centres and 4 per cent in digital service channels. In this system, a “channel” can be a call centre, a physical service centre or a digital platform, and all three formats were rated.
One Pattern Worth Noticing
The three highest-rated channels, one at seven stars and two at six, are all in Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah. Residents of the northern emirates have reason to be pleased with their local centres.

What Is The Rating System Trying To Do?
The Global Star Rating System measures how good government services are and how far they have developed, with customer experience as the central yardstick.
Sheikh Mohammed also restated the vision behind it. The UAE wants public services that match the best hotels for hospitality, the best banks for accuracy and reliability, and airlines for speed and round-the-clock availability. The goal, as he described it, is a government that sees people’s needs coming, delivers more than they expect and makes daily life simpler.
