Al Ain Opens Huge New Park, Al Reef With Sports Courts, Cycling Tracks & Family Spaces

Residents in Al Ain have a new place to spend their evenings, get active or simply sit back with family. Al Ain has officially completed Al Reef Park, a large public space in the Al Reef area that brings together sports facilities, walking paths and community amenities in one location.

Spread across more than 119,000 square metres, the new park is designed to give people of all ages somewhere to exercise, relax and spend time outdoors. One of the first things visitors will probably notice is how much of the park has been built around everyday family life. There are two dedicated play areas for children, giving younger visitors plenty of space to run around and stay busy. But it isn’t just for kids. The park also includes shaded seating spots scattered throughout the grounds, making it easier for parents, grandparents and friends to relax while keeping an eye on the action nearby. A café, prayer facilities, public restrooms and a reception centre have also been included, which means visitors can comfortably spend several hours there without needing to leave.

Sports Lovers Have Plenty To Choose From

For many residents, the sports facilities may be the biggest attraction. The new park features four courts, including two multi-purpose courts that can be used for different activities. There’s also a football pitch and a volleyball court. Fitness enthusiasts haven’t been forgotten either. Seven exercise zones have been built around the park, creating additional opportunities for people who prefer outdoor workouts to time spent in a gym.

Walkers And Cyclists Get Dedicated Tracks

The development also focuses heavily on walking and cycling. A 1.4-kilometre walking route runs through the park, offering residents a place for morning strolls, evening walks or casual exercise. Also, separate cycling tracks have been created for adults and children.

A Place For Community Events Too

A theatre for local events and activities has been included as part of the project, adding another reason for residents to visit.
