However, recently, someone shared a hilarious and wholesome anecdote of a mother loving chilli chicken made by her son’s girlfriend. The anecdote had some people raising eyebrows in suspicion and others slightly envious. No matter what reactions the post incited, it is safe to say that this was quite a wholesome story. A user on X (formerly known as Twitter) recently shared an incident on the micro-blogging website. In the post, he mentioned that he lives with his girlfriend. One day, his mother decided to surprise the son by paying him a visit.

Since it was a surprise, his girlfriend decided to whip up some chilli chicken for the mother. Turns out, the mother loved it a lot! She even shared a photograph of it on her WhatsApp story which, from an Indian parent, is the highest form of honour.

She shared it with a cute caption stating that the dish was made by her “upcoming bahu.” In a funny plot twist, the son revealed in the post that the dish was merely a ready-to-eat microwavable meal! The girlfriend did not, in fact, make it from scratch as the mother so innocently thought!
