Mukesh Ambani Comes Up With His Own FMCG Brand ‘Independence’, Ticking Roti In His Roti, Kapda & Makaan Empire

Business tycoon Mukesh Ambani has now forayed into the Fast Moving Consumer Goods ( FMGC) sector with its brand ‘Independence’. Reliance Retail has launched the FMGC brand in Gujarat. The brand is providing a wide range of products while keeping in mind the taste and preferences of Indian consumers, ranging from premium rice, wheat flour, and edible oils to besan, biscuits, and grains.

Mukesh Ambani Launches FMCG Brand ‘Independence’

Isha Ambani, the daughter of Mukesh Ambani and the director of Reliance Retail Ventures, announced the launch of Independence and said it would provide high-quality and reasonably priced everyday essentials and staples like pulses, cereals, and edible oils. Packaged water and packaged food will also be included in Independence’s product line. According to Isha, the brand’s mission is to offer  ‘truly Indian solutions for real Indian problems’. The brand’s slogan, Kan Kan Mein Bharat, says as much.

The Brand Has Been Launched In Gujarat

The brand Independence has been introduced in Gujarat. By launching Independence, Mukesh Ambani is indeed ticking roti in his roti, kapda, makaan empire. With this brand, Reliance can give stiff competition to top retail brands in India like Tata Group and ITC. Independence is a product of Reliance Consumer Products Ltd. According to Business Today, Reliance Retail Ventures (RRVL), the company that owns Reliance Consumer Products Ltd., has a staggering annual revenue of ₹200,000 crores and more than 16,500 stores. Independence, a made-in-India brand, is also ‘made-for-India’, according to Reliance.

After building its market in Gujarat, Independence aims to operate pan India. The company has aspirations to eventually include retailers from other states as well.
