The Badri-Kedar-Kartik Swami Yatra, operated by the Bharat Gaurav Manaskhand Express, spans ten nights and eleven days. It includes key destinations such as Rishikesh, Rudraprayag, Gupt Kashi, Kedarnath, Kartik Swami Temple, Jyotirmath, and Badrinath. The inaugural trip departs from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus in Mumbai on October 3. After a fulfilling pilgrimage, it will return on October 13. This initiative underscores the Ministry of Railways’ commitment to promote tourism through specially curated train journeys.

Cultural And Spiritual Significance

The IRCTC is dedicated to showcasing the cultural and spiritual significance of Uttarakhand, known as Devbhoomi. Their curated tour, “Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand Yatra by Bharat Gaurav Manaskhand Express,” promises an enriching pilgrimage experience in partnership with the Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board.

The Karnataka government has also joined this effort, operating Bharat Gaurav trains to key spiritual sites like Kashi, Prayag, Gaya, and Ayodhya. This trend reflects a broader initiative by Indian Railways to connect travellers with significant cultural circuits across the nation.

Bharat Gaurav Tourist Trains are designed with comfort in mind. They offer various accommodation options, including Sleeper (Non-AC), AC 3 Tier, and AC 2 Tier. The exteriors feature designs inspired by India’s iconic monuments, sculptures, and dance forms, creating an aesthetically pleasing travel experience.
