Mumbai is famous for tons of things. You hear of the local trains, temples, monuments, vada pav & the never-sleeping city. For tourists, it is a must-visit destination at least once in a lifetime. And they say, despite the city’s fast pace, it will offer you all the reasons to fall in love with its eccentricity. The Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) in Mumbai aims to launch another hop on and hop off AC buses in the city to make tourist movement comfortable and easier. It will allow Mumbai tourists to travel in buses and explore the city’s best spots.
Mumbai AC Buses For Tourists
These new buses in Mumbai started on August 8, 2022. The date also happens to be the 75th anniversary of Mumbai BEST services. The Ho Ho buses, at present, run between Juhu Chowpatty and the Gateway of India. The buses also stop at various tourists’ spot. Further, the new services which began on Aug 8 (Monday) will move from the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) and take the tourists to various touristy spots across the city.

Mumbai Darshan To Become More Convenient For Tourists
With the introduction of these new Ho Ho AC buses, tourists can purchase the tickets for ₹150 only, and travel throughout the day on these buses. BEST officials believe that this will allow tourists to move freely, get on any Ho Ho buses and make transit easier. Here’s what Lokesh Chandra, GM of BEST had to say –
Passengers can buy tickets for Rs 150 and travel for an entire day in similar tourist buses, after alighting at any designated stops. they can also board other buses operating on the route. It’ll make ‘Mumbai Darshan’ more fun and convenient for tourists: Lokesh Chandra, GM BEST

Chandra also further informed that new double decker buses would be launched on the Mumbai streets very soon! The number of electric buses in Mumbai will also increase and Chandra told that by the year 2026, all buses in Mumbai will be electric.
