Mumbai’s Oldest Lassiwala In Dadar Offers Rich And Creamy Lassis To Beat The Summer Heat

A timeworn alley with a ceiling, cutting through an edge of Mumbai’s Dadar, has witnessed generations slurping on the most iconic lassi in the city. This crammed space is the oldest lassi shop in Mumbai. Jai Shree Krishna Lassi in Dadar is around 80 years old and serves lassis to the masses every day. A full glass of lassi comes for just ₹30 here. A half glass comes for ₹20. Especially during the summer days, the place gives rescue to the weary city folks.

People Sit In Long Queues Waiting For Their Glasses Of Lassi

Jai Shree Krishna Lassi has long wooden seats on both sides of the narrow space. People sit in long queues here waiting for their glasses of lassi to arrive. A man comes with a tray of lassis and gives the glasses one by one to the people in the queue. The lassis are creamy, authentic and are topped with malai.

Experience Of Serving Lassis For Eight Decades!

No amount of luxury or decking up can impart the charm that these ancient food joints do. There’s an aroma of heritage bobbling through these eateries that enchant foodies with a love for history. And when lassi comes from a place with eight decades of experience, it has to be breathtakingly refreshing. We aren’t just saying this, the thick crowds at the shop are the proof. No, the place isn’t painted with modern colours or adorned with wall arts and chandeliers. Its age-old avatar is attractive in its own way.
