Nandini Milk & Dairy Products To Get Costlier In Karnataka From Aug 1; Here Are Revised Rates

People of Karnataka, we have important news to share with you. Do you use dairy and milk products of the brand “Nandini”? If yes, then get ready to pay more than before as the prices have increased. Karnataka Milk Federation made that announcement of the change in costs of the Nandini dairy and milk products on Monday. Read on to know all about the rise in prices of different products of this brand.

Here’s Why The Prices Of Nandini Products Are Rising:

Karnataka Milk Federation announced this significant change on Monday and mentioned that the products are getting available at the revised prices from 1 August. Milk producers demanded a rise in prices and this is when the Karnataka cabinet gave the approval. A cabinet meeting was conducted on 27 July and the decision of this change was approved during this meeting.

The officials of the Karnataka Milk Federation nodded yes to this major change to provide support to the dairy farmers and milk producers of Karnataka. Over 35,000 people involved in this industry had to leave this work because of several issues. From cost rise in overall maintenance to incessant rainfall and a lot more, these people faced many hurdles last year, as stated by the Karnataka Milk Federation.

Even after the rise in different products of Nandini, the cost of some products are still much cheaper than in many other states in India. Siddaramaiah, the Karnataka Chief Minister pointed out the differences in the price of toned milk with other Indian states, according to a report by The News Minute.

These Are The Updated Prices Of The  Brand’s Dairy & Milk Products:

  • A packet of toned milk (blue packet) now costs ₹42. (It was priced at ₹39.)
  • Pasteurised milk (Green packet) is priced at ₹46. (Previously, it cost ₹43).
  • Homogenised milk costs ₹43. (The cost was ₹40 before.)
  • Each litre of Shubham special milk (orange packet) has now increased to ₹48. (The price was ₹45.)
  • 200 ml buttermilk is priced at ₹9. (It cost ₹8 before.)
  • 1 kg of curd costs ₹50. (It was priced at ₹47.)
