Netflix Is Launching A Reality Show Based On Squid Game With $4.56 Million Cash Prize

The world went crazy over the Korean drama series named ‘Squid Game’ and how. It’s about hundreds of cash-strapped contestants competing in children’s games for a tempting prize, but the stakes are high. Well, Netflix has plans of bringing this popular series to life as it greenlit Squid Game: The Challenge which will be a reality show along the lines of the Korean drama. 

A Whopping Cash Prize Of $4.56 Million

In September 2021, Squid Game became the most-watched series on Netflix. The Reality show Squid Game: The Challenge though based on the Korean series will not have any fatalities for sure. It will surely be a competitive show where the winner will walk away with $4.56 million as a cash prize which as claimed by Netflix is the highest winning amount on Television. The show will have 456 contestants and all of them will face off in a series of games over the course of 10 episodes. Participants have to be of 21 years of age and above and must speak English. The filming will be in 2023 for 4 weeks.

Largest Cast And Highest Cash Prize

The reality show will have the largest cast, which is about 456 and the highest cash prize which is $4.56 million. This will be the very first time in the history of television and is what will make the show even more exciting. Netflix informed in a press release that the games will be inspired by the original show with some additions that will surely put the strategies, alliances and character of the contestants to test. Similar to the series the stakes in this show too will be higher but the worst fate would be to return back home empty-handed after being eliminated from the show.
