With so many ambitious projects marked on their name, Snøhetta is ready to bring a futuristic library to the birthplace of hip hop, the Bronx. According to the architects of this new library, its interior design is quite spacious and organised. Besides, it will have a glass facade with graphic prints on it to compliment the vibrant greenery of its surrounding.
Because of this, all the vital parts of the library will be on full display from both sidewalks as well as the elevated 6 train. Moreover, it will have a Viewing Garden that will also work as filtration installation and water retention. This particular area will have perennial groundcovers with flowering ornamental trees that will give a new delight to the entire location. Besides, this the library will have a community room and a classroom as well.
Snøhetta Creating Architectural Wonders
The company’s main purpose is to create structures that enhance its surroundings and identities. Further, they work in a trans-disciplinary way to achieve their goal.
