Over the course of last year, the tardiness of flights has been increasing. Regardless of what airline it is, it seems that flights being delayed has become a norm rather than an exception. Many people have taken to social media to complain about the inconvenience that passengers have to face owing to such delays. Recently, journalist Palki Sharma, too, vented her frustration over the situation. Here are all of the important details that you would need to know about her post.
Journalist Palki Sharma Vents Her Frustration Over Flight Delays
In the last one year, not taken a single domestic flight I’ve taken has been on time. Not one! It doesn’t matter which airline you fly. There is no respect for the time of the passenger. How is this ok @DGCAIndia?

If you are someone who frequently travels by air – especially domestically – then you, too, must have experienced this. It has almost become a standard that flights are delayed by an hour or so. And this is the case with almost all airlines.
Recently, journalist Palki Sharma took to X (formerly known as Twitter) and vented her frustration about this situation. She wrote that in the last year, not a single domestic flight she has taken has been on time.
The journalist even went on to tag the X account of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation or DGCA. She asked whether the passenger’s time held any respect for the authorities anymore. Her frustration was quite apparent and for all the right reasons, too.
This Is How Netizens Reacted To Her Post
In fact, trains are running at precise timings as mentioned in the schedule.@DGCAIndia Should learn from railways.

Many Netizens were quick to agree with her experience. Some even pointed out that the Indian Railways, where trains were known to be delayed, has become more punctual than airlines. There were a couple of users whose experience differed.
My experience has been almost excellent, I have taken almost 28 flights in the last 6 months, I remember only 4 flights were delayed, 2 of them were beyond an hour, remaining 2 were delayed due to the runway congestion.
There is apparently a shortage of runways at busier…— Mukul Dekhane (@dekhane_mukul) March 8, 2024
They mentioned that not many flights that they had taken had been delayed. One user funnily commented that they must have replaced in-flight entertainment with suspense about the flight timings.
It seems like the airlines have replaced in-flight movies with the suspense of whether we’ll ever take off on time. Maybe they believe in building suspense more than punctuality.

Customer service has gone for a absolute toss for every damn thing in 🇮🇳. Whether it be phone or cars, service is below 3rd World standard.
