Passengers In UAE Will Get Compensated If They Lose Their Luggage At The Airport

The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) places a financial penalty on airlines in UAE if their customers’ baggage is delay, lost, or gets damage. According to GACA, the air carrier will reimburse each client with a flying ticket for the loss, damage, or delay of baggage at least SR1,820 and a maximum of SR6,000. 

How Much Compensation Passengers Will Get In UAE ?

The authorities will pay customers if their baggage gets delay. Moreover, the compensation with a maximum of SR520 for domestic flights and SR104 for each day of delay. At the same time, GACA says that if a customer wishes to increase the reimbursement amount by including expensive or high-value goods in his baggage. However, they must notify the airline in UAE of their existence and worth before boarding the aircraft.

Customers on foreign flights in UAE will pay the equivalent of SR208 for the delay, up to a maximum of SR1,040. The extra components should supply by the airline with an identity card and a separate cost, according to GACA.

Reimbursement Within 30 days 

GACA requires airlines to pay for damage or lost baggage within 30 days of receiving a claim. Now you can travel freely in UAE without worrying about if your luggage gets lost at the airport.
