Preethi Parthasarthy (AKA Peppy Travel Girl) ended her eventful Louisiana trip with a fulfilling day in Lafayette. Her last day in Louisiana included a quick brekkie at the Star Wars-themed cafe, Stanhope. Then, she headed to Avery Island, the home of the beloved Tabasco and toured the Tabasco Factory. The history, origins of the sauce and the cultivation of the peppers were an intrinsic part of the tour. She tucked into a Tabasco-themed meal, including desserts at the TABASCO® Restaurant 1868! The Vermilionville Living History Museum was the next stop of the day, which gave a deeper insight into the culturally-rich lifestyle of Louisiana through storytelling and music, and dance performances. Her last day in Louisiana included a quick stop for ice cream at Borden’s Ice Cream Shoppe and a night out at a zydeco show at Rock’n’Bowl. Preethi had a leisurely breakfast at Five Mile Eatery before bidding goodbye to Louisiana.
