All About Rajasthan’s Pushkar Fair 2022
Ashok Gehlot, Rajasthan’s Chief Minister, will be inaugurating the Pushkar fair on Tuesday in Jaipur. He will light the lamp at the Pushkar Sarovar and participate in the Maha Aarti. This year the fair will be held from 1st November to 8th November. The royal opening ceremony will be followed by many traditional and adventurous activities. There are also many competitions organised.
The fair also offers many authentic and delicious delicacies that are the pride of Rajasthan. Traditional craftsmanship will also be featured at the fair. Traditional bands as well as fusion bands will also showcase their talent at the grand event. This year, you can witness the fair from a bird’s eye view by hopping on a hot air balloon.

Pushkar To Not Host Cattle Fair This Year
Lakhs of tourists from various countries have been invited to the event. The invites were sent by the Rajasthan Tourism Department under the Pushkar Chalo Abhiyaan. It is also known as the Pushkar Camel Fair as it is one of the largest cattle fairs as well. But this time, due to the rapidly spreading lumpy skin disease, the popular cattle fair won’t be a part of the event. The Pushkar Mela is incomplete without the popular dessert safari. There are camping sites as well for you to explore the beauty of the state. They also organise a very unique Indian groom and bride contest.
