Ramadan 2019 will end on 4 June, the UAE moon sighting committee announced last evening. After last evening’s maghrib prayers it was announced that Eid Al Fitr in the UAE will begin today, 4 June.

The UAE moon sighting committee confirmed last evening that Eid Al Fitr will begin on 4 June. Authorities spotted the first glimpse of the new moon last night in the UAE skies.

A meeting was held at the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department last evening after the maghrib prayers. Since the crescent moon was spotted last evening, Eid Al Fitr will begin from today. 

Meanwhile, UAE’s public sector is enjoying a week long holiday which started on 2 June. Public sector companies have been declared off from 3 June, until until Shawwal 3.
