In fact, charity or the act of giving during the whole month is the core value. And volunteering has now become a big part of this act. As charity is a major part of the values in Ramadan, individuals can help set up tents or distribute food during the month. But, they have to adhere to the rules and regulations in order to avoid penalties. However, the act of charity can be done through other forms, which include monetary donations or providing food to the needy. For this, the residents can donate iftar meals through official channels t. Yes, they’re are registered in the Islamic Affairs & Charitable Department.

Charitable Associations In The UAE To Know

Here are some websites where you can donate iftar meals during the month, as revealed by the Khaleej Times.

  • Dubai Charity Association

    Called the Ramadan Project, it aims to deliver breakfast and meals to the needy at the Iftar tables in mosques and residential complexes, locally and internationally. You can donate on behalf of your parents or even deceased individuals online. Each meal is priced at AED15

  • Beit Al Khair Society

    Costing AED15 per meal, ‘Feeding The Fasting’ is a Ramadan project by the society, which aims to deliver iftar meals to fasting workers. They can be in both Dubai and Northern Emirates. For this, donors just have to enter the number of meals they want to pay for and give their details on the website. Payments can also be made through bank transfers!

  • Red Crescent Society

    This is an affiliate of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and they also offer multiple Ramadan donation projects for residents.

  • Dar Al Ber Society

    Regarded as one of the first charities in the UAE, it collects donations for Iftar meals. A meal outside the UAE is priced at AED10 while for those in the UAE are priced at AED15.
