We were fortunate enough to indulge in classic Mumbai street food like chaats, gol gappa and more to typical yummy Hyderabadi biryani and curries with these superstars. Did You Know Rana Daggubati Is Visually Impaired?
Kamiya touched upon Rana not being able to see clearly from one of his eyes. She questioned if he was born with this disability or whether he partially lost his vision over time. Kamiya sat right in front of him and Rana joked about not being able to see her clearly and how it doesn’t matter now.
Then he elaborated on how he can see clearly from one eye and a little from the other one. But while shooting films he has to wear contacts so that he can see things clearly. The lenses help him with clarity but without these, he said “It’s nicer when it’s a little bit blurred, everything is soft and everyone looks so good.” People with prescription glasses can definitely relate!

This Is How Venkatesh Daggubati Discovered Rana’s Impairment
Kamiya asked what happened during Rana’s childhood as his parents must have been extremely concerned about his vision. Venkatesh recalled an incident where he could sense something was off with his nephew’s eyesight. He narrated that they played a cricket match and Rana couldn’t really catch the ball.
The ball was falling somewhere else and he was waiting to catch the ball in a slightly different position. Noticing this, his family got his vision checked.
