Russia May Soon Welcome Indians To Get Vaccinated When The World Has Shut Its Borders

While countries impose travel bans on India due to the deadly second wave, a new destination could soon open for Indian tourists eager to fly out of the country. Russia is accepting all visa applications including tourist visas at its visa application centres in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, and Kolkata. But what makes Russia even more fascinating right now is the Sputnik V’s new program that may allow Indians to travel to Russia for Covid-19 vaccine tourism.

World Visitor, a Norwegian travel company, is also offering a package that includes flying to Moscow to get Sputnik V. In this package, you can enjoy a luxury stay in a Russian wellness resort as well as receive a dose at the beginning and the end of the trip. Another option in the package offered by World Visitor includes a trip to a spa hotel in Turkey between the two shots.

Russia May Soon Start A Vaccine Tourism Programme

Vaccine tourism as a way to boost the economy has been around for a while. A few weeks back, the Maldives announced that it would offer jab to all the visiting tourists. A shot combined with a holiday package encourages vaccine seekers to book flights, relax at resorts, eat and shop. And if tourists decide to stay for both the shots, it only translates to more money into the economy.
