Sadhguru Jaggi launched the 5th edition of the Green India Challenge (GIC). And how better to support the Gren India Challenge than Bollywood superstar Salman Khan? The actor participated in the challenge by planting a sapling in Ramoji Film City, where he was shooting his upcoming venture “Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali”. He urged his fans to also plant trees and save the environment. Read on to know more.

Salman Khan Takes On Green India Challenge In Ramoji Film City

Accompanied by Green India Founder and Rajya Sabha MP  J Santosh Kumar, Salman Khan paved the way for the Green India Challenge. The actor donning an orange shirt, jeans and a green shawl around his neck planted a sapling in Ramoji Film City. He revealed to the media that planting trees is a very good thing. And he doesn’t understand why people cut trees. In his opinion, the bond between trees and man is very important. And it should be cultivated and nurtured.

Salman Khan Urged His Fans To Plant Trees

He urged all his fans to take responsibility and plant trees. And not just plant saplings but also take adequate care of them until they grow into massive trees. The Bajrangi Bhaijaan star stated that the only way to reduce human loss through natural calamities like heavy rains and floods is to promote massive plantations. Santosh Kumar expressed gratitude to Salman Khan for being part of the Green India Challenge and said that the actor’s initiative will inspire crores of his fans to also plant trees.
