Saudi Arabia Just Unveiled Its First Resting Facility For Delivery Riders Here

Delivery riders are certainly the backbone of our society. Bringing things to our doorstep, we can hardly imagine our lives without them. However, in tough weather conditions, such as the blistering heat of summers, they also need rest areas. And keeping up with this idea, Saudi Arabia recently unveiled its first rest and waiting area. This area is for app delivery drivers and the aim is to improve the working conditions of the people employed in one of the fastest-growing sectors of the kingdom.

Al Khobar Governorate Gets The First Rest Areas For Delivery Riders

Licensed in Al Khobar governorate, which is located in the Eastern province of the kingdom, it has now unveiled the first rest and waiting area for delivery workers. With the aim of promoting the urban landscape, this facility came after the authorities observed delivery drivers parking haphazardly. These motorbikes were often parked in undesignated areas, like those allotted for people with disabilities or even on the sidewalk. Oftentimes, they were even drivers sitting on the streets under the sun and in the rain, now it helps to provide a comfortable space for them.
