There are many beautiful outdoor spaces in Sharjah that are absolutely worth exploring. And now, a new attraction has been added to the emirate that is bound to draw hoards of people. We are talking about the much-anticipated Hanging Gardens that is now open in Kalba. Yes, spread across 1.6 million ft.², this is the latest UAE attraction that warrants your attention.

Hanging Gardens Open In Kalba

Hanging Gardens, which has opened in Kalba is the newest attraction in the UAE. Situated at a height of 281 m above sea level, this lush haven is perfect for people who wish to relax in the midst of a slice of nature. Featuring more than one lakh trees, which span across an area of 1.6 million ft.², this expansive attraction is certainly worth checking out. As it happens, it is located on Sharjah-Kalba Road and was inaugurated quite recently. Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, who is the Supreme Council member and the Ruler of Sharjah, inaugurated the garden on March 8.

As Dr Sheikh Sultan in the opening of the garden took a tour across several sections along with several attendees. As he inspected the aesthetic elements of the garden, he enjoyed musical performances by school students as well, as reported by the Khaleej Times. This new attraction has several aesthetic elements, such as green spaces, waterfalls, and flowers that adorn the terrace. As such, the residents of Kalba also expressed their gratitude to Dr Sheikh Sultan for the developmental projects that he has initiated in the area.

What Are The Key Highlights Of This Garden?

It’s worth mentioning that he also toured the central restaurant, which is perfect for refuelling up on all the energy lost while exploring the expensive garden. As it happens, it can seat 215 people and features a classic semicircular architectural design. Not to mention, the blissful view of the gardens and the waterfall make dining here all the more exquisite. It’s worth mentioning that the Ruler of Sharjah also visited the mountain climbing routes that have a varying difficulty level. Showcasing agricultural terraces, lush trees, colourful flowers, and waterfalls, these are absolutely beautiful.

In fact, he also inspected the track for the excursion train that can carry 55 people at a time. With a length of 820 m, it will pass through four stations, and they will offer waiting areas and an opportunity to explore different sections of the garden. The park also has a 760-metre running track!
