There are many beaches in the UAE. From Abu Dhabi and Dubai to Sharjah, they are all beautiful in their own way. And now, it was recently revealed that Sharjah has plans to introduce a women-only beach in the emirate. Sounds pretty fantastic, doesn’t it? Well, here’s everything that you might want to know about this beach-related development.
Women-Only Beach To Come Up In Sharjah
The Ruler of Sharjah, and the Member of Supreme Council, Sheikh Dr Sultan Bin Muhammad Al Qasimi has revealed that there are plans to introduce a women’s only beach in Sharjah. This is going to be a 500 beach in Lulu’iya area of Khorfakkan and it’s going to offer complete privacy to women. Going by the reports of Khaleej Times, it was revealed that there will also be other services on the beach, such as a cafe, medical clinic, and even a prayer room. In detailing the further orders of the Ruler of Sharjah, it was mentioned that a pedestrian bridge construction has also been directed. This pedestrian bridge will be linking the Al Bardi 6 and Al Batha areas in Khorfakkan.

With the coming of the new bridge, residents will allow easier movements between the two areas. As it happens, the RTA will be implementing these modifications to the internal roads in Hayawa. However, Sharjah is not the only emirate that introduces a woman-only beach in the UAE. Yes, Dubai also launched the Dubai Quality Of Life Strategy 2023, which aims to turn the Emirates into one of the best cities to live. And they also introduced plans to designate new beaches that would exclusively be for women. As it happens, the strategy includes 200 projects and initiatives, along with the extension of late-night swimming beaches by 60%.

Existing Women-Only Beaches In UAE
Several women prefer these ladies-only beaches as they can enjoy the sea without the presence of men. So, the level of comfort thereby allows them a more relaxing and liberating experience. Here is the list of some existing private beaches in the UAE
- Dubai Ladies Club Beach, which has a private ladies-only beach and swimming pool.
- Al Mamzar Beach Park where in the park offers a dedicated ladies’ bench area with amenities.
- Al Bateen Ladies Beach in Abu Dhabi, which was also awarded the prestigious Blue Flag sustainability award. It’s also a favourite among women who see a peaceful retreat.
So, with another women’s only beach coming up in the UAE, it’s bound to make a lot more relaxing experience for women.
