If you’re a hardcore Louis Vuitton fan, you might think that all their bags are unique. However, this one is the most unique of them all. This particular microscopic Louis Vuitton bag is smaller than a grain of salt! As a matter of fact, it is so small that it can even pass through a needle.

You must have seen purses and bags get progressively smaller. First clutches, then coin purses. If you thought that you’ve already seen the smallest handbags, don’t be so sure just yet. Louis Vuitton has recently created a handbag that is infinitesimally small.
Measuring 675 by 222 by 700 micrometres, this handbag is said to be smaller than a speck of salt. In fact, it is so small that you can pass it through a needle’s head. To appreciate the bag’s minuscule features, this bag can be seen through a microscope. You can see the official logo of Louis Vuitton embellished on it.
Even though it flourishes a Louis Vuitton logo, it is created by MSCHF. The handbag is obviously not functional. It is an art piece that will soon be auctioned off. According to an article recently published by Vogue, this is not an official collaboration with the brand.

A Commentary On Luxury Brands And Their Lack Of Utility
The piece is artistic and is a comment on how functional accessories such as handbags are increasingly only being rendered as a status symbol. Where once, handbags were used for their utility, they have increasingly become smaller while being pricey at the same time.
These bags are worn, not for their utility but for the status they symbolise and some people will go to extreme lengths just to possess these status symbols. It will soon be auctioned off in Pharrell Williams’s Auction house Joopiter.
