1. SalamAir Appoints Steven Allen As CCO

SalamAir, which is a low-cost airline from Oman, has announced that it has appointed Steven Allen as its Chief Commercial Officer. Allen has over 20 years of experience in the aviation industry, and with this appointment, he will play an important role in driving the airline’s continued growth and success.

2. Sofitel Dubai Downtown Announces Iftar Meal Distribution

Sofitel Dubai Downtown has announced that it will be extending its gesture of gratitude and kindness toward the dedicated taxi and delivery drivers in the city. In collaboration with Accor Dubai Corporate Office and select Accor properties, this hotel will be distributing Iftar meal packs from March 5 onwards. The meal will be distributed from 5 PM onwards, and it’s rooted in Sofitel’s pillar of committed luxury.

3. Dubai College Of Tourism & Marriott International Launch Hospitality Apprenticeship Programme

Dubai College of Tourism, which is a part of DET, has collaborated with Marriott International to launch a new hospitality apprenticeship programme. A programme for Emiratis, this is accredited by UAE’s Ministry of Education and will offer students a comprehensive education. Blending theoretical learning with hands-on experience, it aligns with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33.

4. New Inclusion Policy In Abu Dhabi Regarding School Students

According to a new inclusion policy of Abu Dhabi’s Department of Education and Knowledge, schools must provide an explanation and evidence as to why they cannot support a student. Yes, they cannot outright reject a students with special needs or learning disabilities due to the lack of accommodating capabilities. Now they have to accept all students of determination,n and they must report to ADEK. They cannot accommodate a particular student.

5. Gulf Air To Launch Flights Between Bahrain And London

It was recently revealed that Gulf Air plans to launch flights between Bahrain and London Gatwick from March 30 onwards. To be operated thrice weekly, their aircraft Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner will be used. It’s worth mentioning that London is the 10th European airport that will be served by Gulf Air. In fact, it’s the third airport in the United Kingdom itself.
