Common Dos & Don’ts Of Having Banana Smoothie

Health therapist Nidhi lists down some important dos and don’ts when it comes to having banana smoothies.

Dos

Have it early in the morning on an empty stomach so that it can sweep through our arteries and help remove the fat and the cholesterol. It also helps activate insulin.

It is best to use overripe bananas because the sweetness increases as it ripens. You could also use frozen bananas for a creamy texture.

It is best to change your greens every day because each green has different nutritional properties.

Don’ts

Don’t eat anything for an hour after having the smoothie as that would hinder the cleansing process.

Don’t use watermelon or muskmelon as they are water-rich food and combination with banana would cause gas and flatulence.

Do not add vegetables, seeds, nuts, yogurt, or milk because all of these need to be digested whereas the combination of fruits and green helps us detoxify our body and thus acts as a Nature’s Broom.

Well, this is incredibly handy! But that’s not all!
