Manipur’s ‘Bir Tikendrajit International Airport’ is very infamous for the risks. This airport is nestled at an elevation of about 775 metre above sea level. It is indeed a challenge to drive planes at this airport in Imphal because of the hills and mountains bordering the place. These hills and mountains make the task for the pilots very testing and stressful. To land the flight at the runway here, pilots need to drive at a very risky steep angle. Else, there are risks to strike with the mountains and hills.
