Torna Fort
Captured in 1664 for the first time by Chhatrapati Shivaji, Torna fort is also referred to as Prachandagad. It’s highly significant in history as the fort served as a major centre point for the entire Maratha Regime at the time. What’s more, Shivaji was only 16 years old when he captured the fort!

The Trek 
The scenic trek starts in the base village of Velhe. You are advised to carry appropriate clothing and footwear according to the season. You will only take 2-3 hours to reach the fort but the time varies according to the number of stops you take on your way up. And when you reach, you will be rewarded of a mindblowing view of greenery all around! Also, there is an ancient temple near the Fort as well known as the Mengai temple that you can totally check out.
