This 73-Year-Old South Delhi Matka Man Is Offering Clean, Portable Water To Everyone

If you happen to visit South Delhi’s affluent Panchsheel Park area, you will surely come across Alag Natrajan who is a man on a mission. He is a 73-year-old cancer survivor who sets out with a modified van every day on his mission without fail. He is very well known as the ‘Matkaman’ and is an inspiration for each one of us indeed. 

Dedicated His Life For The Service Of The Needy

Alag Natrajan every day sets on a mission which is to ensure everyone gets clean and portable water. This person stayed in London for 30 years and left a luxurious life behind only to act upon the disparity of the poor. He smiles as he says that he has now dedicated his life to the service of the poor and needy. Alag initially helped cremate those bodies that had no one to fulfil the final rites or belonged to the poor. He then for serving water modified two vans and set out on the streets. Later he also started serving food twice a week. The food that he serves is of standard quality and hygienic. He also brings foldable chairs for them so that they do not have to sit on the road to eat.

This Work Was Alag’s Calling 

While Alag daily serves at least 250 people, his wife quietly looks upon acting as a manager. She says she is happy to see how her husband’s concept of spending money has changed and the fact that he is happy doing what he is. She helps her husband by tracking his work and managing his finance. When asked many people couldn’t stop praising Alag for his help and generosity. He has by far helped people by proving them money for death or marriage, 5star quality and variety of food and clean pure water. They also spoke about how the respect that Alag showers them with is such a feel-good factor.
