Sara Blakely, the CEO of Spanx and a guest investor on Shark Tank got her company valued at a whopping $1.2 billion dollars after Blackstone, reputed investment firms invested a major stake in it. To celebrate the big win, Sara decided to reward her employees for their dedicated service, instead of reinvesting the money. In a party organised by the staff to celebrate this tremendous success, Sarah addressed the gathering by spinning the globe. The confused crowd of employees wondered why was she spinning the globe. As they scratched their heads for answers, Sarah replied that she bought each of the employees two first-class tickets to anywhere in the world.

Employees Were Also Rewarded ₹7.5 Lakh Cash To Celebrate Company’s Success
As the staff celebrated the surprising news, she further added that if they go on a trip, they’d want to have a nice dinner and stay in a beautiful hotel. So, the CEO also announced $10,000(₹7.5 lakh) cash to each of the employees. Sara further shared that she wanted every employee to celebrate this big moment in their own little way and create memories that they’ll cherish for a lifetime. The staff were crying tears of happiness as they raised their glasses for a toast to women who came from Sarah and all those who haven’t had this opportunity. Spanx is An American company selling shaped leggings and briefs for women, that was started by Sara Blakely with just $5,000 (₹3,74,820).
Sara Blakely sold fax machines door-to-door and started Spanx with $5,000 in savings & no experience.
She never raised money & has now sold a majority stake in the brand at a $1.2 billion valuation.
