The holy month of Ramadan celebrates the faith in God. Along with it comes delectable meals after a whole day of fasting. It’s tiresome to cook in the evening but there are special women in Dubai who does the work effortlessly. Shareefah Al Hosani, a native of Umm Al Quwain, puts her AED3,000 monthly salary to good use by preparing over 100 Iftar dinners for the less fortunate as a charity.

Ramadan Is the Festival Of Charity

After fasting for a whole day cooking feast for a family is a task. Whereas these 56-year-old women have been cooking massive meals for the past 8 years. She makes around 100 Iftar dinners for employees and poor families in the region using just an old stove.

For the last eight years, the incredible 56-year-old UAE citizen has been planning her massive Iftar feasts. She cooks around 100 Iftar dinners for employees and poor families in the region using just an old stove. Shareefah prepares a rice and chicken dish and loads it in empty foil containers. Her daughters and two grandchildren help her, before finishing the meal with a bottle of water and dates.

At The Age Of Retirement, Al Hosani Is Running A Charity Drive

Cooking all of these meals every Ramadan has been more than a charity campaign for Al Hosani. People in her vicinity also understand that once the holy month arrives, they can anticipate some delectable dishes to serve from the Emirati’s kitchen. When asked how she affords all of the meals she gives out, Al Hosani answered it’s a combination of kindness and budgeting. Many people have been highly impressed by Al Hosani’s great heart. Many of her family and friends have given her contributions to her charitable efforts.
She has also participated in the Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation’s Iftar initiative, where she received assistance.
