Talented actress Medha Shankr is now a Mumbai Chi Mulgi, thanks to the city’s warm welcome of the naive Noida girl. She sat down with our Editor-In-Chief, Kamiya Jani, for an episode of Sunday Brunch and let’s just say, the episode was a thriller! The actress fondly recalls her early days auditioning in Mumbai, fresh to the city and starting out jobless. But, in true Mumbaikar fashion, the city had her back! Medha Shankr Was Welcomed With Open Arms In Mumbai
The petite actress is not so petite in her talks and charisma which was pretty evident on this episode of Sunday Brunch. Our Editor-In-Chief was all smiles as she welcomed the actress at Shifuku by Curly Tales. As the pair exchanged pleasantries, Mumbaikar Kamiya Jani was curious to befriend another young Mumbai Chi Mulgi.
Kamiya Jani asked Medha, “How long has it been that you have moved to Mumbai now?” Medha answered with a grin, “It’s been around seven years now.” She also made it abundantly clear that she became a Mumbaikar within the first week of relocating to the city!
The actress was practically setting up the house whole by herself, starting out jobless and juggling auditions. She recalls a sweet memory when she stepped out for some grocery shopping. Upon struggling, she was approached by a sweet uncle who offered to help her find the groceries. She adds, “One time, during heavy rains when I could not find a taxi, a woman stopped in front of me and asked me to hop in!”

Medha Shankr Reveals Her Family’s Reaction To Her Decision To Pursue Acting
We now know Medha Shankr as one of the most beautiful actresses of this generation. But, Medha’s mother had already predicted that she would be the next Aishwarya Rai! Medha recalls, “My dad believed that acting was for people weak in their studies.”
In order to fulfil her dad’s dreams, the actress completed her studies and pursued a Master’s degree. Now her mom and pops are very proud and supportive of her success, and it’s safe to say, we are too!
