Whenever we talk about Rana Daggubati, we have to mention Bahubali! Even though he portrayed a negative role, his brilliant acting skills and their impact were massive. On this Sunday Brunch episode, our Editor-in-Chief, Kamiya Jani, spoke with Venkatesh Daggubati and Rana Daggubati, the hilarious uncle and nephew duo. They also discussed Bahubali, Bollywood, and when we would see them in Hindi films again, and more. Watch the entire video to know all about it.

Who Is Rana Daggubati’s Favourite Bollywood Actor?

Rana made his debut in the Bollywood film industry with the film, Dum Maaro Dum alongside Bipasha Basu and Abhishek Bachchan in 2011. We were curious to know who was his favourite actor or actress in Bollywood. He told us, “Mr. (Amitabh) Bachchan is his favourite actor of all time in Bollywood.” He added that he adores Sanjay Dutt as well.

Next, Rana told us he had precious memories of working with Big B in a film titled Department, by Ram Gopal Verma. He mentioned that not many people watched that movie and were unaware that he had a small role in the film. Hence, he considers it a little secret tucked away in his heart. Not anymore though, we gotta watch it ASAP now!

Enough about Bollywood! We also had to talk about Tollywood with our amazing guests. We asked Rana about any updates on the filming and release of Bahubali 3 as janta demands an answer! Not to raise false expectations, but from our last conversation with him, it is not happening anytime soon.

But on the positive side, he didn’t deny the existence of Bahubali’s trilogy and assured us that there is definitely going to be another one, just not at the moment. It takes a long time to perfect a film that has reached masses across the globe and should be treated with grandeur and attention to detail. Well, we can hang on a little longer as long as it is worth the wait!
