Times Square Is Overrated, Says Study

We have seen many videos and social media posts about tourists complaining how their experiences of exploring an Instagrammable place do not meet their expectations in real life. A recent survey by Preply has found places that are not only popular all around the world but are also considered underwhelming and just a tourist trap at the same time.

According to a report by Preply, they have used a few negative and stress indicators to curate this list. From calling underwhelming to overrated, favourite bucket list destinations have made it to the list of the most stressful tourist traps in the world.

A total of 1,761 reviews termed the iconic Times Square as an overrated, an underwhelming, or a tourist trap and made it the most stressful tourist trap globally. Right next to this hotspot in NYC there is Checkpoint Charlie in Berlin. Surprisingly, the splendid Eiffel Tower is also present on this list in the third position with 1,291 stress-indicating reviews.
