Chandigarh’s New Pan-Asian Restaurant Makes You Travel Through A Maze

Imagine walking into a maze in a restaurant? That’s exactly how you feel in this restaurant in Chandigarh. The newly-opened Pan-Asian restaurant Tin-Tin is located on the premises of the Corbusian building in Chandigarh. Tin Tin, designed by Renesa Architecture Studio, deviates from the typical layout of a Chinese restaurant and succeeds in creating an experimental and stylish restaurant design. This new restaurant is worth a visit for its explicit design.

A Hang Our Spot With A Gallery-Like Ambience

The principal architect of Renesa architecture Studio, Mr Sanchit Arora conceptualized this whole magic. It was his genius to design a maze-like, serpentine floor plan for the space that created curiosity. While working for TinTin, all they wished for was to create an art gallery-like ambience.

Walk Through Terrazzo Maze

There are sweeping arches and ornate ceilings as one enters. Throughout the bare montage of the restaurant are geometric mosaics in deep tones of jade and umber brown. There are indoor nooks and semi-alfresco lounge spaces with high tables and long communal tables.  A hallmark of the studio is its ability to let the material speak for itself, and Tin Tin follows suit. India’s terrazzo and stone floors are nostalgic and have inherent durability.

A Lit Cafe With Semi-Alfresco Seating

Because access to the exterior of the structure was restricted, a network of umbrella lights was equipped with semi-alfresco seating in the outdoor lounge area. The principal architect of Renesa architecture Studio, Mr Sanchit Arora says, “When it comes to hospitality spaces designed by the studio, a common axiom we swear by is—the architecture of the space will beckon you in once.”
