CNG Prices Increase In Delhi-NCR
According to a report by India Today, CNG in Delhi will now cost ₹80.09 per kg, while customers in Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad will pay ₹88.70 per kg. The latest spike comes just after two days where CNG prices were increased by ₹2 per kg on May 15, leading to the cumulative increase in CNG rates to ₹3 per kg in 48 hours.
The earlier rise had come along with a rise in petrol and diesel prices across India. On May 15, both petrol and diesel prices were raised by ₹3 per litre for the first time in over four years as state-run fuel retailers began making up for part of the losses caused by volatile international crude oil prices due to the ongoing US-Iran war. With the revised price, petrol in Delhi now costs ₹97.77 per litre, up from ₹94.77, while diesel is priced at ₹90.67 per litre compared to the earlier ₹87.67. Prices differ across states due to variations in value-added tax.
