Rakesh Roshan’s Khandala Mansion Home Tour
Rakesh Roshan was born in a garage, and so he always wanted to build a grand home, and he did just that. His Khandala mansion is worth over ₹120 crore, spanning 22,400 sq. ft. on a five-acre plot and located on a hilltop. From this mansion, one can enjoy the beautiful views of the Rajmachi Hills. The mansion is designed by architect Grigoria Oikonomou of Sibha Grigoria Private Limited. During the house tour, Farah Khan described it as a “seven-star hotel.”
The open spaces in the grand mansion give off a tropical vibe, especially with the two wooden boat-like swings. One of the most breathtaking parts of the house is the massive swimming pool, which Farah Khan joked was big enough to host an Olympic race. In one corner, the house features beautiful sculptures that Rakesh Roshan revealed were brought from a church in Goa. The mansion also has a massive staircase that adds to its grandeur. The highlight of the home is the private theatre, which can comfortably seat around 20 people.
During the tour, Rakesh Roshan mentioned that every single item in the mansion has been sourced from India. At one point, Farah Khan amusingly mistook the bathroom for a bedroom.
Living Room And Kitchen
Rakesh Roshan’s Khandala mansion has a spacious living room with a pink pool table and a large balcony that offers breathtaking views. The large dining area is perfect for an intimate family dinner. The kitchen in the mansion has a minimalist charm with a navy blue and white colour scheme. The mansion also has a round dining table for the staff. Another amazing part of the mansion is that it has a huge garage to house the family’s collection of luxury cars.
Rakesh Roshan’s Khandala mansion is indeed no less than a luxurious resort. With its open space and large balcony, it makes the monsoon season enjoyable, also the pool tables make it perfect for members to enjoy in an indoor space.
