UAE Govt Ranked The Second Most Trustworthy In The World

A study conducted by Edelman Trust Barometer has ranked the UAE government as the second most trusted in the world. China stood first while Indonesia grabbed the third spot.

What’s It?

Edelman Trust Barometer recently conducted a study accessing 27 markets and revealed the UAE government to be the second best int the world.  The report also suggested that about 80% of the respondents trusted the UAE government. Now, that’s something to be super proud of, right?

The first place was grabbed by China while Indonesia stood third with 75% trust.

Appalling the big win, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, tweeted:

“Globally, 75 percent of people trust ‘my employer’ to do what is right, significantly more than NGOs (57 percent), business (56 percent) and media (47 percent),” read the report. The report also revealed that UAE’s trust on the government, NGOs, and media witnessed a significant jump of six points. Trust on media stood at a whopping 56 points while UAE’s scores in the level of trust in business scale up to 74%- six points higher since 2018.

Overall, UAE enjoys a steady hike (by 9 points) in the Trust Index from 2012 to 2018. Take a look at the complete report here.

Meanwhile, did you know the UAE was ranked the happiest country in the world? After accessing the income and dynamics, BCG in collaboration with the 2019 World Government Summit released a report declaring UAE as one of the happiest countries in the world. UAE grabbed the top spot, leaving behind USA, Canada, Belgium, and France.
