UAE Residents Can Sight The International Space Station Tonight

UAE residents can see the International Space Station tonight for about five minutes. The ISS is also expected to be seen again on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.

According to Nasa’s Johnson Space Centre, residents can spot a bright star moving faster than an air plane in the UAE skies tonight. If the skies are clear and the temperatures are conducive, residents can see the third brightest object, as it zips across the sky.

And in case you miss it, don’t worry. The ISS is expected to flash again whole of this week. Here are the timings:

Monday- 8.31pm
Tuesday-  7.42pm for four minutes
Thursday and Sunday- Three minutes each at 7.40pm and 4.49am

What Else?

Meanwhile, the United Arab Emirates’ Mars 2117 project aims at setting up a mini city on the red planet by 2117. The announcement was made earlier at the World Government Summit in the presence of representatives of 138 governments. His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum spoke at length about the project and said that the project will explore creating food and energy on the planet.
