The UK government recently made the announcement about opening its second ballot of the Young Professional Scheme. The government opened the second ballot for Indian nationals on Tuesday. Who Can Apply For The Young Professionals Scheme?

The British High Commission in India took to Twitter to announce the opening of the scheme’s second ballot. Also, they have added some valuable information to this tweet. To know the criteria required to apply for the Young Professionals Scheme, read on.

  • The specified age group of Indian nationals to apply for this scheme visa is 18-30 years.
  • Also, Indian citizens falling under this age group need to have a graduate or post-graduate qualification to apply for the Young Professionals Scheme visa.
  • The second ballot is open already. It is going to close at 1:30 PM on 27 July.
  • Applicants need to have £2,530 in personal savings.
  • Applicants cannot have any children under 18 years of age for who they help with financial responsibilities and live with them too.

Young Professionals Scheme will let a total of 3,000 Indian nationals to avail of the visa this year. Most of these 3,000 slots have been provided during the first ballot of the scheme already, as stated by the UK Visas and Immigration.

With the Young Professionals Scheme visa, young Indian professionals will be able to work in the UK and stay there for up to 2 years. People owning this visa will be able to visit the UK and leave the country at any point in time till they hold a valid visa, according to a report by Business Today. Also, people will need to reach the UK within a period of 6 months of applying for the visa.

If you wish to apply for this scheme, do not wait anymore. Register yourself for it. If you get selected on the second ballot, you will be notified with an invitation to apply for the visa.
