In an update that is no doubt welcome to expatriates in the United Kingdom or UK, their government has recently made some changes in the Visa policy which will make it easier for people with work visas to stay in the country. It also makes it easier and cheaper for their employers to retain overseas workers. Here are all of the important details that you would need to know about this particular Visa change.
UK Visa Changes: Change Policy For Sponsor Licenses
According to an article which was recently published by livemint, this particular change was announced by the Home Office recently. The change in policy concerns the Sponsor Licenses which are used by companies or people who want people from overseas to come work for them.
What is more, the Sponsor Licence needed to be renewed every four years which took a lot of paperwork and money. As per the latest announcement, however, this condition has been removed. Yes! You read that right! Renewing a Sponsored Licence every four is no longer necessary.
This rule will come into effect on April 6, 2024. If reports are to go by, all of the Sponsored Licenses that are expiring soon will automatically be extended by ten years. This will save companies hundreds of thousands of pounds and paperwork.

Other Important Details That You Would Need To Know About It
It will also make it easier for companies to retain overseas workers as a major hassle has been reduced. This will also hopefully increase employment opportunities for overseas workers in the UK.
Those who have already paid the renewal fee and have commenced the procedure will be refunded. What is more, these sponsors have already been notified of the change.
