Uttarakhand To Keep Hotels & Restaurants Open 24×7 Till Jan 2, 2023, So You Can Ring New Year In Style

The Uttarakhand government has announced that it will permit restaurants, cafes, tea parlours, dhabas and other food outlets in the state to operate 24×7 from December 30, 2022, to January 2, 2023. Uttarakhand receives a large number of tourists on New Year. This new rule will help the state handle the crowd effectively to some extent.

Party All Night In Uttarakhand This New Year!

This time, you can wallow in New Year celebrations all night amid the mountains of Uttarakhand. Hotels and restaurants in the state will remain open 24 hours for four days to let tourists immerse in the festive feel in totality. Famous hill stations in Uttarakhand like Rishikesh, Dehradun, Mussoorie and Nainital attract a lot of tourists on New Year and other prominent holidays. Many wildlife enthusiasts are expected to visit Jim Corbett National Park too.

Uttarakhand Has Issued New COVID-19 Guidelines

Since COVID-19 cases are rising again, the Uttarakhand government has directed DMs and medical officers to arrange for rescue, quarantine and effective surveillance of COVID-19 suspects and patients. Thus, international passengers arriving in Uttarakhand from countries like Thailand, Hong Kong, China, South Korea, Japan and Singapore will have to produce negative COVID-19 reports starting January 1, 2023.  The state has also made masks compulsory in government and private schools. The state has notified that tourists must have prior hotel bookings to visit Nainital and Mussoorie.
