The conversation started with their relationship with Mumbai. Simply put, their terms with the city are somewhat professional because they visit here for work. They agree to the city’s incomparable charm but for them Hyderabad is home.

Sooner or later, the conversation had to turn to food. We are all aware of the delicacies in Hyderabad. If nothing else, their biryani is iconic. When asked to elaborate on the cuisine in Hyderabad, both Venkatesh and Rana described it as being spicy, rich and heavy. When asked to list their favourite dishes, Venkatesh started with the classic, the biryani. They also mentioned kebabs and haleem in their list of favourite dishes in Hyderabad.

Further, Rana explained the versatility of cuisines in Hyderabad. Along with the classics, it also offers delicacies from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. He termed Hyderabad to be a ‘melting pot of different Indian cuisines’. Rightly said, isn’t it?
