Vietnam Food Tour: Here’s Everything You Can Try As A Vegetarian

All vegetarians will surely relate when we say that going on an international vacation is a bit niggling, as you don’t know if you will get good vegetarian food or not. Our Solo Female Traveller, Neha Nambiar too had this thought in her mind. But that did not stop her from going to Vietnam and exploring the city’s beautiful places and cuisine. Here is a Vietnam food tour with items you can try as a vegetarian.

Vegetarian Food In Vietnam

In this episode of The Solo Female Traveller, our beautiful Neha Nambiar took us on a Vietnamese food tour. The food tour was strictly vegetarian, and honestly, she couldn’t find a lot of options. But it was a mixed bag, as some days she got to relish mind-blowing vegetarian food. She also rated these food items on the basis of taste.

The very first one she tried was in Hoi An Old Town, and the name of the dish was Ban Trang Nuoang. It is a popular street food in Vietnam that originally included pork meat and scrambled Vietnamese eggs. Neha rated the dish 7 out of 10. The next day, she visited a French village in Ba Na Hills for lunch. She was disappointed that she could only manage to get some noodles and french fries for lunch under the vegetarian option.

A Vegetarian Restaurant In Hue City

There were days when Neha got lucky with vegetarian food, just like at Ann Nhien Garden in Hue City. It is a restaurant that serves only vegetarian cuisine in Vietnam. The best part about this restaurant was that they had vegetarian options beyond mushrooms, paneer, and potatoes. She was served a dish made out of bamboo shoots, and Neha simply loved it.

The next dish she tried was pineapple rice, which was a normal rice sabzi but with a tinge of pineapple. This dish, too, made her smile. Now next came the best dish she had tasted in Vietnam: rice paper spring rolls. The dish was rice paper, which had lotus seeds, vegetables, and flowers rolled in. She gave it a 10/10.
