Vietnam is a breathtaking place and an increasingly popular tourist destination. In India, too, its popularity has been growing and many Indians are increasingly visiting the country for leisure travel. Recently, Agoda, an online travel agency shared data which revealed that Vietnam has emerged as the top international travel destination. This also means that Vietnam’s position as one of the top tourist getaway destinations is now solidified. Here’s what you should know about it.
Vietnam Named Top International Travel Destination
This particular country has been growing in popularity when it comes to tourism. According to an article recently published on VietNamNet, the travel agency Agoda has shared data which names Vietnam as the top international travel destination.
The article stated that Thai tourists have displayed a keen interest in visiting Vietnam. The flight booking data accumulated by Agoda shows a clear trend of increasing interest in Vietnam as a tourist destination. In addition to Thailand, tourists from Australia, the Republic of Korea, and Singapore are also showing an increasing interest in the country.
In Vietnam, the three cities which are the most popular tourist attractions are Ho Chi Minh City, Ha Noi, and Da Nang. Da Nang is especially popular with Korean tourists. Ho Chi Minh City is popular with Koreans, Australians as well as Singaporeans.
Vietnam’s Popularity In India
India’s fondness for Vietnam as a travel destination is increasing too. Recently, given the high demand for flights between India and Vietnam, VietJet started a flight service between Tiruchirappalli and Ho Chi Minh City.
The new flight service was started after the massive success witnessed by the flight service between Ho Chi Minh City and Kerala’s Kochi which operated four times a week. The new Trichy flight service will begin on November 1.
Agoda stated that the country set a goal of 8 million international tourists for the year 2023. In the first six months of the year alone, it clocked around 6.6 million international visitors.
